Yucca Community Center will make a brief presentation on upcoming activities including the Holiday Party and Winter Camp. There will someone there during the meeting to register kids for the winter camp.

IV.)Area Beautification
This will be a brief presentation and discussion about the issues concerning Area 3 including, sidewalk cleaning and getting more community involvement with cleaning the area. We will use the discussion time to set a plan on working on the current issues.

V.) L A Planning Education and Information

An educational and informational portion of the meeting that will show how you, as a resident of Los Angeles, can find out when hearings are, what they are about and how you can give your comments before the hearing.

I. Call to Order
We did a round Robin to introduce ourselves.
 
II. Committee Announcement
Hollywood Studio District Neighborhood Council will be having it’s PLUM meeting to discuss the Milleneum Project at 5500 Hollywood Blvd.
 
III. Yucca Community Center
Youth Coordinator Jovan Herron made a presentation discussing their upcoming programs including winter camp, the holiday show, issues with transportation with getting more kids to come to Yucca from Cheremoya and Valley View Elementary Schools. She also discussed series of children’s and adult classes.
 
IV. Area Beautification
Discussed complaints about dog feces not being picked up and how residents were complaining about it. We discussed how to get more community involvement beyond just writing e-mails to the area chair. There was a concern brought up about the sidewalks and how they needed repair. Discussed new buildings coming into the community and how they can help aesthetically in the area. It was brought up that we contact the police department have a greater impact on the community and community involvement. It was also brought up that the environment chair gets more involved with new structures and building in the areas.

We did a really quick over view of what the ZIMAS system was.
