WELCOME to the webpage for the Infrastructure, Public, Regulated Resources and Services Committee. Our dedicated service to the community as liaison to local authorities will focus on reliable solutions to improve our neighborhood environment. Our concerns concentrate on benefits for Hollywood in conserving our share of public services and natural resources and improving traffic and the quality of life in Hollywood. We are committed to a comprehensive plan for maintaining safe streets, healthy conditions, and beneficial use of resources to enhanc! e our community development, while resolving congestion and gridlock and empowering all community members.

Your Committee Chair:

Infrastructure   Claire Guy

Claire Guy grew up in Hollywood, where her family resided since the days when Hollywood and Vine was the fashionable address that today is associated with Beverly Hills‚ Rodeo Drive. She is committed to recreating Hollywood in the image that still lights up the imagination of the world as the American dream and is the quintessential destination for tourists, business, and comfortable residential living. By taking full advantage of significant public expenditures already invested in Hollywood‚s very own two Metro stations, their connection to Universal City, and our location between the revitalizing areas of Los Feliz and West Hollywood, Claire sees a unique opportunity. She believes that by working together we can turn our part of one of the most traffic-congested cities in the country into a model 21st Century urban community, which houses families, retirees --people at all stages and from all walks of life-- and family-oriented stores, restaurants, and entertainment. Claire is working on replacing gridlock with mobility by increasing feeder shuttles to pedestrian-friendly boulevards. She invites you to attend Infrastructure Committee meetings and share your ideas for improving our neighborhood. She earned her BA, MA, and PhD degrees at UC Berkeley and her JD at UCLA Law School.
