Traffic, Public Transportation and Parking
Next Meeting: There isn't a meeting scheduled for this committee. Please see the archive for the minutes of previous meetings. The Traffic, Public Transportation and Parking Committee focuses on mobility and parking issues throughout our area. While congestion is a constant issue, this committee focuses on ways to expedite traffic flowing through our area and keeping it off of our residential streets. Since two MTA Redline stations are within our boundaries, considering ways to make public transportation more attractive is a significant focus. In regard to parking, the committee looks at every project and attempts to influence the developers to provide abundant parking. Further, it focuses on opportunities to add city parking spaces where the needs are critical.
