COMMUNITY IMPACT STATEMENT ON VESTING TENTATIVE TRACT NO. 62617/ ZA-2005-1856-CU-ZV-ZAA, ENV-2005-1846-MND PROJECT LOCATION 1633 LA BREA AVENUE (1611-1647 N. LA BREA AVENUE, 7110-7126 MARSHFIELD WAY)

This project is within the borders of Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Council (HHWNC). While the applicant has had several meetings with various HHWNC committees, the applicant has not had the opportunity to meet with the full HHWNC Board. While the Board would prefer any decision be deferred until the applicant could do so, the timing of this hearing required the HHWNC Board to take a position based upon traffic concerns. The HHWNC Board voted to not support the applicant at this time. The HHWNC Board’s opinion is that the proposed mitigation plan with regard to the 2 left hand turn lanes would be an insufficient basis for granting the variance to permit construction of this project. The HHWNC Board would hope that further studies and different mitigations would be considered.
