Bruce Gorelick has accepted the position of General Manager at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel effective October 15, 2005.
Bruce has been with Marriott International since 1979. His last position was as Vice President, Operations Ritz Carlton Club and Hawaii. His focus was to work with joint venture partners on the development of the Ritz Carlton Club product while serving as a liaison between MVCI and the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company. Prior to that, he was the Regional Vice President, Western Region Operations MVCI where he was responsible for collaborating and reviewing the design, architecture, development, construction and launch of 12 new MVCI properties. Bruce has also worked in Marriott Lodging for almost 20 years in various positions such as General Manager, Resident Manager and Regional Director of Operations for the Southeast Region Based in Atlanta, GA.
Bruce received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, California in 1978. He also attended University of Southern California as a Business Major and holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Pasadena City College. Bruce has also received the Distinguished Alumni Award from California State Polytechnic University in 2003, the Award for Excellent Owner Relations presented by Bill Marriott at the 1997 General Managers and Resident Manager of the Year, New Orleans Marriott Hotels in 1985.
