Minutes: The minutes from the October 11, 2004 meeting were approved.

LAX Master plan: Frank Defoe handed out the LAX brochure that describes the proposed LAX modernization plan. Recently, a representative of the airport met with the Eagle Rock neighborhood Council to discuss plans for the airport update. It was discussed by this committee that the fate of the airport is crucial to business in Hollywood due to the tourism connection. Over ten million overnight visitors come to Hollywood each year. Most of them travel by air to Los Angeles.

Gateway to Hollywood Project: The HHWNC has adopted this project by appointing Jeff Rouze as the representative to the project. The Hollywood United Neighborhood Council has appointed Norma Foster as a representative to the project. The sidewalk, irrigation, and landscaping installation are complete. The pedestrian lights and electrical wiring for the pedestrian lights is still outstanding. Parts are on order to complete the project. The installation of the fiber optics in the icon Hollywood sign will wait for additional grants to become available. The Friends of the Gateway have been organizing to maintain the site. The office of Councilmember Tom LaBonge had a public relations event on November 4th to celebrate the completion of the beautification of the site. Copies of the articles were distributed to the committee members/
