1. Welcome and introductions

2. Feedback forum and discussion, with stakeholders, regarding community issues related to public safety, disaster preparedness, emergency medical, police and fire services and responses.

3. Discussion on possible revival of local Neighborhood Watch and interested stakeholders in becoming Block captains.

4. Discussion and stakeholder feedback regarding current public safety and crime-prevention issues, related to public parking lot security, loitering and noise abatement issues.

5. Public comments on non-agenda items. (Stakeholders must fill out a speaker card, and will have up to 3 minutes to speak)

6. Final comments by Emergency Services, Police & Fire chair, Rena Dheming

Chair Presiding: Rena Dheming

1. Call to order at approximately 7:00p.m.
Chair introduced herself and special guests: Senior Field Deputy Rory
Fitzpatrick and Field Deputy Eric Sanjurjo from Council District 4/Tom
LaBonge’s office, and Los Angeles Fire Dept. Station # 76, Fire Battallion Chief Mark Stormes, and his assistant, Fireman Bill Sleznick.
Stakeholders present introduced themselves via Round Robin introductions.

2. Q & A/Discussion took place between Chair Dheming, Chief Stormes, Senior Field
Deputy Mr. Fitzpatrick, Field Deputy Eric Sanjurjo, and other stakeholders regarding community issues, such as “Red Flag/No Parking Day”- hillside fire prevention and response, earthquake and power-outage preparedness, and 911 calls and responses. Questions regarding the above were asked by Dheming, Area # 2 (Cahuenga Pass) Chair-
Joan Luchs, Area # 3 (Yucca/Whitley) Chair, Paul Woolsey, and Area # 3 stakeholders, Bill Becker and Noah. LAFD sponsored CERT program was also discussed.

3. Discussion on Neighborhood Watch was tabled until next meeting.

4. Q & A/Discussion took place on Police and Fire Dept. responses regarding emergency and criminal incidents, public overcrowding and unlawful blocking of public sidewalks. Also discussed was supporting upcoming Fire Dept. events.

5. Brief questions and comments by stakeholders regarding prior agenda items that were previously discussed.

6. Committee Chair, Rena Dheming, thanked Fire Dept.- CD 4 Councilmembers, and stakeholders for their time and attendance.

7. Meeting adjourned at 8:35pm.
